This next phase was called Hospitality in the Dioceses. We lived with people in their homes. The hospitality was incredible. They took care of everything. The parishioners in the town of Neustadt/Sanbach invited over 200 pilgrims from the US and Spain. This was a gradual buildup, meeting more and more groups every day for Mass & prayer until we had Mass with their Cardinal in the city of Mainz and over 80,000 pilgrims and headed to Cologne to meet the Pope and several million others. There was still plenty of time for sightseeing. We toured a castle there. You'll also see the Pope's arrival on the Rhine River.
